Microsoft Nokia Lumia smartphone users in Russia soon will be able to use a mobile app from Yandex Money that enables them to pay for different services such as mobile minutes and bills, and make person-to-person transfers, according to a press release. 

Yandex said in the announcement that Microsoft will make the app available on Nokia Lumia smartphones this summer after a Windows Phone update. 

"The fact that on Nokia Lumia in Russia there will be a payment application of Yandex Money means that users do not need to think about what application they should better use to pay for services or make transfers via mobile," Iliya Leyrikh, Yandex head of mobile money, said in a statement. "In total, Yandex Money app allows users to pay for all most popular services in Russia."

Consumers also can use the app to pay for goods and services online, Yandex said in the announcement.
