Wendy's launches rewards program nationwide via mobile app

Wendy's Co. has launched Wendy's Rewards, a program that lets customers earn points at participating U.S. restaurants.

Customers will earn 10 points for every $1 they spend at the quick-service restaurant, whether ordering burgers and fries through the mobile app or scanning the app at the pickup window.

"Wendy's has some of the most loyal customers around, and we're thrilled to launch a program that rewards them for their excellent taste in cravable, high-quality food," Carl Loredo, chief marketing officer at Wendy's, said in a company release. "What better way to reward them than with icons like Spicy Nuggs, Baconator, Frosty-ccino, Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit and so much more."

For a limited time, Wendy's is offering double points for the first order. Orders placed through third-party delivery platforms do not qualify for rewards at this time.

Wendy's has more than 6,700 restaurants worldwide.
