US Bank adds functionality to mobile app, including Spanish language and account insights
U.S. Bank announced the addition of several new features on its rebuilt mobile banking app, including its debut of an Android version, the addition of Spanish-language capability and personalized analysis of account activity, called Insights.
The new Insights function uses artificial intelligence to give mobile banking users a breakdown of various account activities, ranging from monthly cash analysis to alerts about potential duplicate transaction charges and spending breakdowns by category.
"In less than a year, we rebuilt the U.S. Bank mobile app by co-creating with customers and our initial results have surpassed our expectations," Ankit Bhatt, omnichannel senior vice president at the bank, said in a company release.
Other new features include:
- Recurring payment functionality and easier funds requests capabilities under Zelle.
- The ability to apply for home equity loans, savings and investing.
- The ability to lock and unlock credit cards and add to Apple Wallet.
- Enhanced breakdowns on mortgage accounts, including billing, escrow and tax statements.
