Toast launches flat fee mobile delivery for restaurants

Toast, a Boston-based restaurant management platform, is launching Toast Delivery Services, which offers simple flat-rate mobile food delivery for restaurants that are struggling to manage costs during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Toast Delivery Services costs less than $8 to deliver food within a five-mile radius, a significant savings compared to some other third-party delivery platforms, according to a press release.

"At Toast, we;re hyper focused on helping the restaurant community not only navigate the COVID-19 health crisis, but also take control of the guest experience so restaurants can thrive when the industry begins to recover," Aman Narang, co-founder and president of Toast, said in the release.

The company also announced Toast Now, a suite of on-demand, commission-free digital channels that include Toast Online Ordering, a mobile order app called Toast TakeOut and e-gift cards.

No Toast Hardware or Toast POS order is required to access Toast Now.
