Subway UK offers mobile ordering app through Windows Phone 8

Subway UK now has an app available on Nokia Lumia Windows Phone 8 that allows customers to order their food from their smartphones.

To use the service, guests scan the QR code, tap on the link and install the free app from the Windows Phone Store.

According to Conversations by Nokia, the ordering app takes customers through a virtual production line where they can build their sandwich from start to payment.

Also through the app, guests can either login with an existing SUBCARD account or create a new one to earn points for purchases.

The app can use the phone's GPS system to find the nearest Subway, or order from a specific store for a later pickup. Guests can determine a specific pickup time through a "Pickup Time" tile. Those who order through the app can then skip the queue in store when retrieving their meals.

Currently the app is only available in the Greater London market, or about 184 stores.
