Starbucks launching delivery across entire US market
Starbucks Coffee Company is launching delivery next year throughout the U.S. thanks to an agreement with Uber Eats. The decision follows an 11-market test that started last year in Miami, which Starbucks COO Roz Brewer referred to in a company press release as "effortless."
"We are driven to create new and unique digital experiences that are meaningful, valuable and convenient for our customers," she said. "Partnering with Uber Eats helps us take another step towards bringing Starbucks to customers wherever they are."
Through the agreement, the companies will collaborate on innovation and technology integration, focusing on delivery packaging, in-store operations and a quick order-to-door delivery window, Jason Droege, vice president of Uber Everything, said in the release.
"Our customers are huge Starbucks fans and love being able to get their favorite items delivered with Uber Eats speed," he said.
Starbucks will continue to introduce delivery to new markets, achieving national coverage by early 2020.
