Shift4 Payments announced a new pay-at table device called Tableside which is designed to help restaurants and other merchants accept mobile orders and at-table payments.

The integrated tablet and POS software is designed to help wait staff avoid the need to walk back and forth to dining tables, and turn around orders faster. The tablet integrates seamlessly with multiple POS systems, including Harbortouch, Restaurant Manager, Future POS and POSitouch. 

"The efficiency benefits offered by mobile ordering and pay-at-the-table solution are undeniable," Jared Isaacmen, CEO of Shift4 Payments, said in the announcement. "When that functionality is delivered in a fully integrated package such as Tableside, it could be fully transformational for the business."
