SalesVu enhances its mobile POS with version 2.0
SalesVu, an Austin-based payment company, has released version 2.0 of its mobile point of sale application for iPhones and iPads. New functionality in SalesVu 2.0 includes receipt printing, barcode scanning and even some back office support so employees can clock in and out.
"We listened to thousands of SalesVu users across various retail, restaurant, and services segments and added features designed to help them operate their business more efficiently, securely, and cost effectively," said Pascal Nicolas, SalesVu founder and CEO.
Along with general upgrades, some features designed specifically for food service establishments in the new version include the ability to split checks, print orders to the kitchen, adjust tips at the end of the shift, and receive orders from the restaurant’s website, SalesVu said.
SalesVu has added some enhancements for service businesses such as beauty shops and plumbers as well. SalesVu 2.0 routes appointments from a business's website directly to the app on the iPhone and iPad and also allows business owners to take a partial deposit at the time of the reservation and process the balance once the service has been completed, the company said. Invoicing and recurring billing have also been added.
The application and secure credit card reader continue to be free and rates are still 2.7 percent for both card-present and card-not-present transacations.
