Run the jewels: Barclaycard to embed payment technology in jewelry, watches
Barclaycard's contactless payments technology, bPay, will now find its way into watches and jewelry thanks to a new partnerships with DCK Group and Tappy Technologies.
Barclaycard said it will work with the DCK Group to embed bPay into jewelry, and with Tappy Technologies to add contactless payments to watches.
Barclaycard first introduced bPay in 2015. Consumers have spent approximately 6.6 million pounds ($8.2 million) via 1.1 million transactions with bPay enabled devices, according to Barclaycard.
