Retail ATM app promises greater efficiency, error code assistance
A new app designed to help simplify ATM management for merchants is available from Nautilus Hyosung America. The MoniMobile app promises to make management of retail ATMs easier and more efficient, according to a company press release.
"This app will truly revolutionize the way ATM operators and merchants interact with and manage their ATMs," said Jason Kuhn, vice president of retail product marketing and planning at Hyosung.
To use the app, the MoniMobile user simply scans a QR code displayed on the ATM screen. This brings up information including the model and serial numbers, card reader type, terminal ID, software version, encryption PIN pad style, and a location name and address.
The user can also identify glitches by scanning a prompted QR code for a particular error. The app provides error code details, information about corrective action and, in some cases, a video demonstrating the process for correcting the error.
The app is free and is currently available for devices operating on the Android platform. An iOS version is due out later this year, the release said.
"[O]ur company is based on innovation," said Nautilus Hyosung America COO Nancy Daniels. "We are proud to continue building on that foundation with the development of this invaluable tool for our industry."
