Paytronix rolls out contactless dine-in platform

Paytronix Systems Inc. announced the rollout of its Paytronix Contactless Dining technology, which is designed to help restaurants offer dine-in service with limited physical interaction due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Paytronix officials said the service will let restaurants manage everything from menu ordering, drinks and payment by connecting the mobile platform directly into the restaurant's POS systems. The service uses scannable QR codes and can be integrated with Apple Pay to help restaurants provide digital menus, automate food delivery to tables and direct payment and tips through mobile devices.

"It's really about customer demand," Andrew Robbins, co-founder and president of Paytronix, said via email. "Guests clearly want to go out to eat, but they also are nervous about human touchpoints. Contactless Dining gives restaurants the ability to offer options so guests can have the experience they want and still feel comfortable."

Restaurants will be able to integrate the technology with their own proprietary branding.
