PayPal is planning to increase its presence in physical retail stores, both on the PayPal and the Venmo platforms, according to Axios.

PayPal CEO Dan Schulman told Axios on HBO that the payment card plans to make another run at growing its presence in physical retail stores, offering rewards and other perks. 

He was short on details, however, he said that PayPal could see additional use of NFC at merchants that take mobile wallets like Apple Pay as well as QR codes for conducting transactions at small businesses.
