Payleven adds multi-account, printer support to its mPOS solution

European mobile POS provider payleven is adding a couple of features to its solution to make it more practical for small businesses.

The first change is allowing multiple accounts on an account — meaning that more than one person can use payleven's chip-and-PIN card reader. Considering that the new readers are not free like payleven's mag-stripe reading dongle, adding multi-account support will make the solution more efficient and flexible for small merchants who use it to process transactions.

Multi-account support includes the ability to monitor and manage transactions carried out through each accountholder's device. This includes being able to monitor sales and earnings, as well as to grant and revoke device permissions to perform tasks such as refunds.

Multi-account support is available only on iOS devices at the moment, but Android versions will be updated soon to include the feature.

Additionally, payleven will support several printer models from POS makers such as Epson, Star Micronics and Bixolon. Adding printer support will turn the mobile POS system into a more robust, cash register-like solution suitable for larger merchants.
