Payfirma opens its mobile payment platform to developers
Mobile POS company Payfirma has added an interesting wrinkle to the whole "every phone's a payment terminal" phenomenon. The company has opened up its mobile payment platform to developers meaning developers of third party mobile apps for iOS and Android devices can add mobile payment acceptance using a credit card swipe on to their apps.
"The mobile development community is key to Payfirma," said Kalle Radage, chief product officer, Payfirma said.
Radage said the company is continually building out its platform to make it easy for developers to add payment functionality."(T)his will allow developers to create a new wave of game-changing payment applications," he said.
Payfirma said developers can now leverage Payfirma’s payment platform to manage transactions, PCI compliance, and credit card reader integration. In addition, the integration kit shares information between third party apps and Payfirma, automating business processes, increasing efficiency, and improving usability.
The company said that apps for invoicing, accounting, restaurants and retail could all integrate Payfirma's platform now.
