NewNet provides Brazilian acquirer Cielo with next gen payment plaform

In a move designed to improve its ability to offer m-commerce and e-commerce services, Brazilian merchant acquirer Cielo S.A. announced it has selected the TraxcomSecure Total Control 1000 (TC1000) Secure Transaction Processing platform for the nationwide rollout of its new payments processing network. The TC1000 platform is offered by Shelton, Conn.-based NewNet Communication Technologies.

"After a rigorous market analysis we have selected NewNet as our partner to build out our payments service offering," said Cielo VP Paulo Guzzo in a statement. Guzzo said Cielo believes NewNet's efficiency, security and performance will enable the company to offer innovative and superior m-commerce and e-commerce payments services.

According to an announcement, NewNet's solutions help companies like mobile carriers, payment processors and acquirers expand traditional payment transaction services into the mobile and broadband universe.

"With the ability to interoperate with point-of-sale devices from any manufacturer, NewNet provides customers a robust platform, with the highest standards of availability, reliability, security and performance which are required to deliver new and innovative payments transaction services," said Ron Pyles, president and CEO at NewNet.
