New York Yankees partner with Postmates for mobile ordering in-stadium
The New York Yankees announced a deal to offer Postmates to allow fans to order food and drinks from their seats and pick them up at designated Postmates Pickup concession stands at Yankee Stadium.
The partnership will operate from Sections 113 and 116 starting today for the rest of this season at Yankee Stadium and roll out to the complete stadium for the 2020 season. Fans need to download the Postmates app, where they can order and pay for concessions and get a text notification regarding where to pick it up.
"Yankee Stadium strives to provide an unparalleled game day experience for every fan," Marty Greenspun, senior vice president of strategic ventures for the New York Yankees, said in a release from Postmates. "Our partnership with Postmates will allow Yankee Stadium guests the convenience of selecting, ordering and paying for their food in advance of arriving at concession stands, maximizing the amount of time guests can spend at their seats enjoying the action on the field."
Postmates announced an agreement in August to offer Postmates Live at Dodger Stadium and also entered a partnership with AEG to provide its skip-the-line mobile ordering and pickup at major concert festivals, including Coachella and Stagecoach.
