MoneyGram International Inc. is partnering with Uber Technologies Inc. to provide discounts on money transfers sent to family and friends by drivers and delivery couriers. 

The partnership will allow anyone that earns money on the Uber platform, including drivers for the ride sharing service, Uber Eats delivery people and workers for Uber Freight and Uber Works, which is an app that connects workers with companies that need to hire, according to a press release.

"We're thrilled to launch this partnership with Uber to serve everyone earning on this Uber platform — many of whom frequently send money back home to friends and family," Alex Holmes, chairman and CEO of MoneyGram, said in the release. "Our companies have significant overlap in the populations we serve, and drivers know and love the MoneyGram brand."
