Moki to manage PayPoint's POS deployment

The agreement covers deployment of Moki software to outlets in PayPoint's 37,000-store retail network that need standalone terminals.

Moki, a software platform providing cloud-based management, security and analytics for customer-facing devices, today announced that PayPoint, a payment technologies provider, has selected the Moki Total Control system to manage the deployment of its next generation point-of-sale terminals in the U.K. and internationally, according to a press release.

PayPoint, which handles over 14 billion pounds ($22 billion) in more than 800 million transactions annually for more than 5,500 clients and merchants, chose Moki to implement and scale a new generation of industry-grade payment platform terminals, according to the announcement. The agreement covers deployment of Moki software to those outlets in PayPoint's 37,000-store retail network that need standalone terminals.

Moki Total Control will provide the remote management, security and policy-based compliance of all PayPoint in-store payment devices, enabling PayPoint to upgrade payments infrastructure, deploy new services, generate more transactions and better extract and analyze data, according to the announcement.

"By implementing Moki Total Control, we are able to engage retailers, merchants and consumers across a multichannel payment spectrum as well as aggressively expand our international footprint in a dramatically more seamless and scalable fashion," said Jon Marchant, CIO of PayPoint. "With comprehensive remote management, we can enable two-factor security and remotely update firmware and OS builds. We are especially pleased about advanced support features like remote control, which will allow PayPoint to take total control of our devices from anywhere around the globe."
