Mobipay launches Hurricane Irene relief fund on WikiPay platform
NYNCCO LLC announced today that it has launched the Irene Relief Fund through its operating division mobipay.co using the mobile payment platform of WikiPay LLC.
WikiPay provides real-time collection and delivery of donations for charities providing food, shelter, medical care, clean-up and other resources to the individuals, families and communities in need after Hurricane Irene, the company said.
Along with setting up the fund, NYNCCO said it will match $.01 for every $1 raised as an incentive to support relief efforts. Donors can give as often and as much as they want with 100 percent of donations going to the charity they select. (Instructions for donating are below.)
NYNCCO said Wikipay’s platform avoids the high text-messaging fees, overhead costs, restrictions on donation amounts, and long lead-times associated with other “Text-to-Give” campaigns. The company also said other platforms can take up to 3 months to deliver the much needed donations to the source.
"Given the need and urgency for donations by the Irene Relief Fund, WikiPay is the perfect solution to raise money to help the families and communities affected by Hurricane Irene," said Philip I. Prouty, president and CEO of Prouty Company LLC, joint venture marketing partner and affiliate program manager of WikiPay.
