Mobile payment-loving Canadian coffee drinkers can rejoice. Starbucks Canada has finally launched the Starbucks Canada App for iPhone. Starbucks' Canadian customers can now enjoy the same mobile payment application that Starbucks' U.S. customers have used more than 20 million times since its launch in January.

"Finding new ways to connect with our customers and elevate the experience in and out of our stores drives our continued growth in the mobile space," said Adam Brotman, senior vice president and general manager of Digital Ventures at Starbucks Coffee Company.

"We're inspired by our customers and their feedback on MyStarbucksIdea.com and feel confident Canadian customers are ready to embrace mobile payment at Starbucks," Brotman said.

Like the U.S. version of the app, the Starbucks Canada application lets customers pay for purchases at the point of sale. The app generates a barcode linked to at Starbucks gift card. Customers can also check their gift card balances, reload their gift cards, locate a nearby store and manage their My Starbucks Reward account.
