Mastercard to provide enhanced data to commercial card users of Amazon Business

Mastercard has announced an agreement to provide enhanced transaction data to large and mid-size commercial cardholders in the U.S., Germany and U.K., who use Amazon Business.

According to a press release, the initial banks providing the enhanced data include Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Barclays Bank PLC, Citi, JP Morgan, Lloyds Bank, NatWest and Royal Bank of Scotland.

"Companies are looking at seamless, secure and simpler ways to manage information," Jeff Feurstein, senior vice president, commercial products at Mastercard. "As a trusted technology network, Mastercard is doing just that with more robust detail on purchases."

Companies that use a Mastercard commercial card will be able to see details, quantities, unit prices and taxes for individual items and shipping amounts. Mastercard provides enhanced smart data, an expense management suite, to help companies reconcile the data.

Users can access the data via mobile app browsers.
