Ingenico, ROAM roll out EMV mobile commerce manager
The payment solutions provider Ingenico and its mobile payments subsidiary, ROAM, are launching an international mobile solution. The ROAM Mobile Commerce Manager, or ROAM MCM5, is built for EMV and lets service providers manage risk, oversee mobile point-of-sale payment terminals and build their base of transacting merchants while establishing their brand presence, the companies said.
With the launch, ROAM said it is now active in the U.S., Mexico, France, Belgium, Italy, Australia, Brazil and Norway.
"The [joint offering] brings maturity to the mobile payments space," Jean-Marc Thienpont, EVP, Mobile Payment Solutions, Ingenico, said in a news release. "We are delighted to bring our customers payments expertise based on Ingenico's footprint with [1,000] acquirers in 125 countries and ROAM's market-leading mobile payment capabilities and local support. We already see marked interest in such a solution in eight countries and are looking forward to support retailers, banks and telcos to improve their payment solutions."
