GSMA announces speakers for NFC & Mobile Money Summit, set for Oct. 15-16

The GSMA has announced speakers for the NFC & Mobile Money Summit 2013, which is set for Oct. 15-16 in New York City. According to a news release, confirmed keynote speakers include:

  • Felix Marx, CEO, C-SAM Inc.
  • Gil Bernabeu, technical director, GlobalPlatform

  • Kai Johnson, chief architect, ISIS
  • Mung Ki Woo, executive vice president, mobile and industry alliances, Mastercard

The NFC & Mobile Money Summit will bring together key global players and focus on the latest developments and innovations in NFC and mobile commerce services, the release said. The annual event will include two days of conference sessions focusing on the recent deployments and latest successes in the NFC and mobile money sectors, and showcase new products and services that are defining the future of mobile commerce. Attendees will also have opportunities to network and explore the potential of the technology sector.

Led by industry executives and mobile commerce experts, the conference program will address the latest innovations and developments within the NFC and mobile money arena. Themes to be addressed include partnerships and joint ventures, the mobile wallets landscape, the retail landscape, opportunities for mobile money in untapped markets, new business models in emerging markets and disruption in mobile money.

Registration is open for the conference, which takes place at the Metropolitan Pavilion and includes additional invitation-only meetings on Oct. 14 and 17. Free "Mobile Money Accelerator" classes will again be held before the main conference sessions on Oct. 15-16.
