GAN plc a U.K.-based provider of internet sports gaming technology, plans to expand its business into Tennessee, the latest U.S. state to officially approve online sports betting, according to a press release.

Tennessee legislators passed legislation at the end of April to legalize online sports betting; the governor allowed the bill to become law on May 25 without his signature. Tennessee is the 12th state in the U.S., and the fourth this year, to legalize online sports wagering, with betting to begin on July 1.

The Tennessee legalization follows a similar move by Iowa earlier this month that legalized sports gambling online and at 19 casinos, according to GAN. Earlier this year, Indiana and Montana legalized sports gaming.

GAN has a major presence in the New Jersey sports gaming market, which has taken off since the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that a federal ban on sports gaming was unconstitutional, clearing the way for state regulators to bring fantasy sports sites FanDuel and DraftKings in from the cold.
