Credit card processor BluePay and mobile payment company Payfirma are pairing up to offer merchants a tablet POS system that integrates BluePay's payment platform and Payfirma's tablet solutions. The companies said the new solution is designed to simplify payments and engage consumers.

"At BluePay, we've always been committed to giving customers as many simple and effective payment solutions as possible," said Kristen Gramigna, chief marketing officer at BluePay. "Through this partnership, we're able to pair our secure payment processing with Payfirma's tablet point-of-sale system, giving businesses the ability to offer mobile payments in their stores as well as a huge aesthetic improvement over traditional terminals."

For Payfirma, company CEO Michael Gokturk said that mobile is the future of computing and payments, with big and small companies adopting mobile devices to get paid. "Our solutions let businesses engage their customers in new ways and ultimately increase revenue," he said.

Payfirma, which offers a smarphone based mobile POS through BluePay, will begin offering the tablet point of sale immediately.
