Bluefin intros new platform name, will offer mobile payments in Q2
Bluefin Payment Systems has introduced its new PayConex Payment Gateway and CardConex Management System, a rebranding of the company's payment gateway services.
"We have worked very hard on optimizing our gateway for partners and merchants, particularly in the security space," said Ruston Miles, senior vice president and general manager for the Bluefin e-commerce division. "From our point-to-point encryption product, to tokenization, to transparent redirection, we feel we have a complete suite of offerings that we wanted to bring to market under the PayConex brand."
Bluefin said that in addition to payment acceptance via virtual terminal, e-commerce, and point-of-sale, merchants using Bluefin will be also be able to offer mobile payments, starting sometime in Q2 2013.
"Mobile is certainly a big part of our strategy to expand PayConex’s utility for partners and their merchants," said John M. Perry, Bluefin's CEO. "And as we move through 2013, we will be implementing additional enhancements to our domestic and international platform."
Bluefin’s CardConex Management System offers Bluefin's reseller partners a paperless, online process for merchant application, boarding, underwriting, and revenue share calculations, the company said.
This solution has made a big difference for resale partners who bring large numbers of clients to Bluefin. The web-based management system lets them quickly and easily check on their merchants or their residual payments, Perry said.
Bluefin works with more than 100 software providers and serves 15,000 U.S. and Canadian merchants. It is headquartered in Atlanta, Ga.
