Bitcoin processor Bitpay has raised $30 million in funding from a group of investors that includes Sir Richard Branson and Yahoo co-founder Jerry Yang, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal.

Bitpay CEO Tony Gallippi told the newspaper it will use the funding to expand internationally. The company now has offices in Amsterdam, Buenos Aires and San Francisco, but Gallippi wants to open offices in emerging markets such as India and other countries where citizens have little to no access to traditional financial institutions.
