American Express announced the launch of a reservations booking tool for Platinum Card and Centurion members at more than 10,000 restaurants worldwide using the Amex mobile app, according to American Express officials. 

The tool will allow card members to search and make reservations at thousands of restaurants across the American Express Global Dining Collection, the recently acquired Resy platform as well as partners SevenRooms and Bookatable. 

Leading restaurants such as Cote and Gramercy Tavern in New York City and Chiltern Firehouse in London will be available for reservations. 

The reservations platform will be available this month to a portion of its Platinum Card member base, and will expand to the broader Platinum Card and Centurion member base by early 2020. 

American Express announced the deal to acquire the Resy reservations platform in May.
