Alabama-based CB&S Bank becomes the 500th financial institution enrolled in Zelle
Alabama-based CB&S Bank recently became the 500th financial institution to go live on the Zelle Network via Fiserv, joining a wide range of banks and credit unions already offering the person-to-person digital payment app, according to a press release.
Zelle lets consumers send and receive money directly, person-to-person via one U.S. financial institution account to another. Generally, the payment takes just minutes if the parties are already enrolled with Zelle. That speed factored strongly in CB&S Bank's decision to join the network.
"P2P is more important than ever, as the pandemic fuels transaction volume," Rory Ragsdale, vice president, Professional Services at Fiserv said in the release. "We're continually improving the speed at which clients go live once they join the network, and we're seeing double- and triple-digit adoption growth among consumer users of the service."
