AJB Software to make mobile payment push
AJB Software Design Inc., a provider of transaction software and solutions, is making a mobile payment push. The company announced a new strategy for merchants that will include "the extension of credit and debit card payment processing beyond legacy systems and into new mobile applications and POS environments."
AJB said its mobile payment initiative will include the announcement of new products and partners that will make it easier "for merchants to deploy mobile payment solutions; increasing convenience and facilitating transactions, while maintaining the strictest levels of payment security."
The new mobile strategy is a result of mobile marketing growth and the acceleration of mobile payment adoption, the company said. Its aim is to provide merchants with solutions that let them scale, deploy and integrate any mobile payment product regardless of payment processor device, existing infrastructure, or technology standard.
"With the rapid evolution of new payment options, it's important that merchants implement solutions that address current market needs, while protecting themselves against future uncertainty," said AJB president and founder, Naresh Bangia.
"With a myriad of mobile wallet solutions on the market, we help our customers build a mobile strategy that takes a vendor-neutral approach, so that they can seamlessly integrate mobile transactions into their current payment infrastructure, while providing protection against unknown future payment trends," Bangia said.
Operating largely behind the scenes, AJB provides middleware that lets merchants handle new payment methods and technologies. Its solutions are used by 29 of North America's top 100 retailers. The company began working with PayPal earlier this year to help merchants integrate PayPal's offline payment method at the point of sale.
