National Bank of Oman offers cardless ATM transactions

To meet the needs and concerns of its customers in the Middle East, the National Bank of Oman has added cardless ATM transactions to its digital banking and payment solutions. This feature allows customers to withdraw cash from NBO's ATM using a smartphone, according to a report on Albawaba.

To use the new feature, customers log on to the NBO mobile app, select a type of transaction and request a secret code which is valid for 24 hours. Once the code is sent to the phone, the user and waves the smartphone screen with the code at the ATM screen. The ATM verifies the code and authenticates the user and the customer can withdraw cash without touching the ATM screen.
