Apple continues to quietly roll out direct carrier billing option for digital content

Apple is continuing to quietly roll out a direct carrier billing for Apple Music, iTunes and other Apple purchases outside the U.S. and recently added the payment option in three more countries, according to a report from Apple Insider.

Carrier billing is offered to customers of carriers in Denmark, Hong Kong, and Sweden, according to the report.

Three, a U.K.-based telecommunications and internet service provider, is providing the service to its customers in all three countries.

SmarTone subscribers in Hong Kong also can use direct carrier billing, as well as Telenor Sverige AB customers in Sweden.

Apple Insider notes Apple direct carrier billing is unavailable in Canada, the U.K. and the U.S.
