4 major FIs in Europe, UK adopt A2iA's RDC tech

A2iA Corp., a Paris-based developer of artificial intelligence and machine-learning based software for data capture, document processing, and payment systems, has closed deals with four of the largest European retail banks, according to a press release.

One of the largest U.K. banks and three of the largest five French banks will integrate a2ia Mobility within their mobile apps for remote deposit capture via smartphone or tablet.

A2iA did not identify in the press release which banks would use the product.

A2ia Mobility, a configurable SDK, features offline and client-side image analysis, and the company's Auto-Locate patented automatic capture feature. The product can extract data from items that include checks, identity documents, proof of residency forms, bill pay stubs and receipts, the release said.

"Digital transformation is a strategic initiative for banks around the world, and the adoption of new technologies remains paramount in their ability to address the changing needs of their customers," said Jean-Louis Fages, A2iA president and chairman.

"A2ia Mobility's scalability and flexibility enables these financial institutions the ability to develop customizable solutions that simplify how consumers interact with their bank, as well as the speed in which they can complete a transaction or enroll in a new account directly from their mobile device."

A2ia Mobility supports multiple countries and languages, and is available for integration into mobile apps for onboarding and ID recognition, mobile check deposit, bill pay workflows and receipt processing, the release said.
